A Study On The Vitality Of The Space In Chengdu HUANHUAXI Park

In cities surrounded by reinforced concrete,public open space in cities has become an important place for people to carry out communication activities.They begin to carry more social activities and become an indispensable part of urban life.People’s attention to urban public space and the quality of urban environment is constantly improving,which puts forward higher requirements for the rational design of urban space.And as the main place for urban residents’ leisure and entertainment,the design of park space should pay more attention to the people-oriented,pay more attention to the needs of the citizens,and create an attractive space.What kind of park space can better satisfy users’ needs and more attractive is worthy of further research.This paper starts from the perspective of space vitality,trying to explore the relationship between users and the environment in HUANHUAXI park.According to the connotation of two aspects of space vitality,the study starts from the two dimensions of the vitality: the performance characteristic and the composition.Because the space vitality is easily observed and difficult to describe,the objective quantitative evaluation method is used to count the physical facilities of the park and the behavior of the people in the space.Finally,the quantitative relationship between the physical characteristics of the external environment and the activity response of the user is established,and the quantitative and comprehensive evaluation system of the vitality of the park is constructed;summarized the main influencing factors of the vitality of HUANHUAXI Park and puts forward improvement suggestions.Through the research and analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The quantitative evaluation method of park space vitality is reasonable and feasible.In this paper,a comprehensive evaluation system for quantifying space vitality in the HUANHUAXI park is constructed,and the index of spatial vitality evaluation is selected from two dimensions of spatial vitality,and the quantitative relationship between is established by correlation analysis.Obtain the main factors that influence the vitality of HUANHUAXI park space,and practical evaluation method is proved by practice.(2)The activity in each space HUANHUAXI park is different.The space vitality of the Western Sichuan tea porch,the poetry Avenue,the view play square and the WAN Shu mountain are the highest;the space vitality of the grass Hall Square,the Canglang lake one,the Bai Luzhou and the Canglang lake two are the second,and the space vitality of the Jinghua square,Wan Zhu square,the path beside the continent and the new poem path are low.As the whole,the space vitality in different types of space: cultural experience space > waterfront wetland space > entrance plaza space > forest walking space.In addition,even for the same type of space,there are obvious differences in vigor due to different environmental conditions.(3)There are coupling relationship between the vitality performance characteristic and the vitality composition in HUANHUAXI park.The comparison of the indexes between the performance characteristic and the composition found that the performance characteristics of each space activity are almost close to the changing trend of the overall spatial environment.The index of spatial environment is at a relatively high level,and the vitality index is relatively high.There are two spaces that constitute index are roughly the same,and the value of their vitality index are also close.On the one hand,it indicates that the selection of index of vitality is reasonable and feasible.On the other hand,it shows that there is a certain correlation between the users’ activities and the environmental composition of the space.(4)The main factors affecting the vitality of HUANHUAXI Park.As the whole,the main factors that affect the vitality of the park are shading rate,space division,recreation facilities,path number and path length,and plant richness.For different types of space,the influencing factors are different.(5)Vibrant park space features.Based on the investigation and study of the spatial dynamism of Huanhuaxi Park,the relationship between the user’s activity in the park and the composition of the space environment was analyzed,and the characteristics of the vibrant park space were summarized,including beauty,comfortable environment,accessibility of the path,and space complex.
