today,we are in an increasingly humane society,in order to enable children with mental retardation to better realize their self-worth.The design of special education schools for mental retardation has entered our research field of vision.Through literature discussion and related volunteer work for many years,the author finds that many special schools with mental retardation still have a relatively old concept of campus space design.Not only lack of attention to living training room,situational rehabilitation training room(such as language training classroom,visual perception training room,etc.),but also lack of attention to game activity space.Facing all kinds of problems and challenges,this paper takes the campus space of the school of mental retardation as the research object,combined with the design case of the school of mental retardation in the city of Zi gong.It is also a new proposition given by the times to explore how to construct an intellectual barrier campus space full of fun and sunshine consciousness with a more open attitude,rather than just confined to the narrow function of satisfying the basic teaching and security function.This paper first discusses the development of special education schools both at home and abroad,and especially analyzes in detail the impact of the "new campus" movement in Taiwan on the spatial environment design of special education schools in Taiwan.This paper combs the basic situation of the research on the campus space of the mentally handicapped school,and based on the unique background of the present era,This paper puts forward the value of the research on the design of the campus space environment of the school with mental retardation and the core objectives and contents of the design and design.Secondly,this paper briefly analyzes the characteristics of the children with mental retardation in the aspects of behavior cognition,emotion and social adaptation.And compare the design of mental retardation schools with those of ordinary primary and secondary schools and other special education schools.By combing the relevant theories and studying the excellent design cases at home and abroad,the author summarizes the results of the questionnaire survey on many special education schools.This paper sums up the general principles of constructing the campus space environment of the school with mental retardation,and puts forward the following viewpoints: the spatial order of the school with mental retardation should be the order of self-perception of the children with mental retardation,and it should be designed on the basis of it.In order to play a more effective role in the intellectual disability school cultural function and spiritual home function.Finally,based on the case of Zi gong School for Mental retardation,this paper explores how to establish an orderly and humanistic campus space of the School of Mental retardation.From the point view of the current design results,This program reflects the special requirements for the space environment of schools with intellectual disabilities,The atmosphere of the whole space environment is filled with the pure happiness of the children with mental retardation,which to a certain extent reflects the exposition of the thesis.This paper hopes to attract more attention from the society to the children with mental retardation.The pursuit of a broad humanistic style.
