An enterprise's growth is the compress of the strategic management development and transformation,the key to be competitive is creating a competing strategy both suitable for the environment and the organization.The prospecting design industry is in a homogenization trend,in the competing market,the whole industry faces pressure and challenge in the same time.For adjusting to the market,strategic management transformation comes to be the only choice,and the EPC(Engineering?Procurement?Construction)is undoubtedly the best solution.The transformation of design institute is adding more profitable elements like purchase?building subcontract and so forth,then developing the single business—design survey into a integrated services that includes design?purchase?construction?trial-manufacture and post service,which titled the transformation of the whole process of project management.In the future,prospecting design industry will transform into a multi-business and specialized-services mode,however within limited resources,sorts of mid-size institutes are considering how to transform,how to expanding EPC business without abandoning highly profitable design survey business,and to continue optimize the reform,to realize the enterprise sustainable development.Transformed prospecting design enterprises explore the future path in the trials and errors of transforming into engineering enterprises.As a provincial mid-size chemical design institute,T insists on moving forward,keeps on changing,continues instructive exploration,and blazes an outstanding new path of strategic transforming management for design general contracting mid-size chemical design institute.The research analyzes T's external macroscopical factors by PEST Analysis Mode,studies the market competing environment by Porter 's Five Forces Model,then concludes T's opportunities and challenges,further more this research lists the T's advantages?disadvantages?opportunities and risks by using SWOT analysis.Moreover the research proposes a specialized transforming management strategy after analyzing the enterprise's internal resources and external environment with its mission and prospect.Undertaken the strategic management needs the enterprise to be professional?specialized and innovative,so that to be competitive and keep sustainable developing.Based on these various analyses,the author correspondingly presents solutions and principles,attempts to use reorganization and management secure method to guarantee T's design and EPC combination strategic management transforming move forward steadily.The innovation of this research is to integrate the characteristics of prospecting design industry by analyzing many cases of strategic management for the enterprises under transformation and to propose the solutions of organizational reform for the individual department.From my opinion,it is advanced and forward-looking.T is an epitome of the prospecting design institute transforming into an engineering enterprise,therefore it has realistic meaning and reference value.
