Trust,as a "soft element" in construction projects,is an important means to improve contract problems.The injection of trust can help ease the dilemma of cooperation,reduce transaction costs and improve performance efficiency.It is necessary to accurately describe and measure the level of trust in contract governance.At present,the existing research on the measure of trust focuses on interpersonal trust,while trust in the engineering field occurs more among organizations,and the measure of trust cannot meet the demand.Therefore,this paper reorganizes the structural dimension of organizational trust and develops the scale.Firstly,the connotation of organizational trust is summarized by literature research method,and the organizational trust in this paper is defined as the expectation that the contracting parties with a connection can fulfill their commitments in the transaction process in order to achieve the established goals,and will not take advantage of the vulnerability of one party to seek illegitimate interests.The structural dimensions of interpersonal trust and general organizational trust are compared and based on this,the dimension division of contracting organizations in engineering projects is determined.Because trust is dynamic,this paper divides it into initial trust in the trading preparation stage and continuous trust in the trading process.Among them,initial trust consists of computational trust,while continuous trust includes computational trust,relational trust and institutional trust.In order to make the division of structural dimension more compatible with inter-organizational trust,intuitive trust and emotional trust with personal characteristics are avoided.This paper analyzes the influencing factors of organizational trust from the two aspects of initial trust and continuous trust,and finally determines the five influencing factors of ability,reputation,communication,fairness perception and performance behavior.On this basis,the corresponding measurement indexes are extracted according to the organization theory to provide the basis for the construction of the scale.Secondly,based on the existing trust scale and combined with the indicators,an initial trust scale with 18 questions was designed.Invite relevant experts to put forward Suggestions on the content of the designed items.After repeated modification,carry out small sample data test and purify items,eliminate two items that do not meet the requirements,and then form a formal scale.Finally,questionnaires were issued by questionnaire star,and data were analyzed by software SPSS21.0 and AMOS24.0 to test the reliability and validity of the scale.It is verified that the formal scale with 16 items in this paper has good reliability and validity.Based on the above research,this paper constructs the trust scale among the contracting organizations based on the engineering contract,providing a theoretical basis for the research on the related mechanism of trust.By measuring the level of inter-organizational trust,it can provide judgment basis for selecting contractors before project transaction,which is conducive to formulating fair and reasonable contract terms and reducing subsequent disputes.At the same time,it also helps to maintain inter-organizational trust in the transaction phase and finally achieve the goal of improving project performance.
