Children are important members of a family,bearing the love and hope of the family.Preschool is a critical period for children's growth,and children at this stage need more attention from the family and the society.Preschool stage has its own particularity.Nowadays,with the continuous improvement of living standard,the demand for children's products is no longer just satisfied with the basic use function,And there are higher requirements for the emotional connotation and intellectual interest of products.Children's tableware,as a necessity for children to eat,accompanies children's dietary life.With the rapid development of The Times,the tableware design for children at this stage cannot better meet children's needs,and it needs continuous improvement and innovation,Need to better meet the needs of modern children point.This paper starts from the design of tableware with high frequency used by preschool children,considers how to carry out emotional design of tableware under th e premise of ensuring the safety of tableware,improve the design of existing tableware,and how to attract children to eat with emotional interaction and give them a new dining experience.Preschoolers are emotional,acting impulsively and acting without thinking.When they are in a good mood,they will behave very obedient,and when they are in a bad mood,they will act very obstinate.Children's meals are driven by their emotions.Children's tableware design should pay attention to children's emotions,m eet their emotional needs,and help children eat with a good mood.Firstly,this subject studied the concept of emotional design.By consulting literature materials,it understood the three levels of emotional design,searched for excellent product design works,analyzed how to realize emotional products,and thought how to be emotional design of tableware for preschool children,so as to provide theoretical basis for design practice.Preschool as an important stage of life,through the study of the characteristics of this stage,to understand the preschool children's psychological and physiological characteristics,basic ability development.Through field investigation,interview,observation and analysis,to understand children's eating habits and eating emotions,according to the problems in the process of children's diet to find children's needs and design points.Through market research on children's tableware and questionnaire survey on the target users,we can understand the existing problems of children's tableware and analyze the emotional design elements of children's tableware,such as color,shape and function.Consider how tableware meets children's emotional needs.The safety design and ergonomics design of children's tableware were studied to meet the needs of children's tableware.Finally,based on the previous research,the design practice was explored.Through the user group positioning,design target positioning,sketch concept,design element selection,and ergonomics analysis,the emotional tableware design of two schemes for children was completed to better help children eat.The market for preschool children tableware to provide reference.
