Research On The Applicability Design Of Tableware For Preschool Children

Children are important factors of happiness and harmony for families.They are hope of the nation,reserve forces of social talents.Their healthy growth is related to the future development of our country as well as the long-term stability of the whole society.Diet is most important part of their growth.The quality of tableware is closely related to food safety.Throughout the design of children tableware,the division of children's age is neglected,while style and function are emphasized.So,it is an important research topic for designers to design children's tableware with concerning about healthy growth of children according to different demands in different ages.Based on practicability theory,the study focuses on the design of preschool children's tableware.Firstly,it analyzes preschool children's psychological and physiological development through reviewing literature,and explores requirements of product design by decomposing,restructuring and inductive design thinking.Though interviewing and questionnaire,the study has a full picture of current situation and demands of tableware.Software “SPSS” and “Origin” help to make a numerical statistical investigation to summarize three new demands of tableware under the new era of preschool children.Secondly,based on practicability theory,through the “children choose cup” experiment,the study collects the information of applicability of the product.After data induction,expert interview,children's parent interviews,the study obtains the design requirements on product applicability to verify scientific and uniqueness.Through analyzing the outstanding cases,the study also explores the applicability design advantages and development prospects.Finally,with the application of applicability design,the study meets the demands of preschool children' tableware and proposes the design principles and design methods of preschool children's tableware based on the applicability design concept.The feasibility and correctness of the applicability design theory are verified by the concrete design practice.The evaluation system of applicability design for preschool children's tableware is established,which provides a new way of thinking about the design and development of preschool children's tableware.The research results provide a reference for design of children's products.Through the example design,it can help children to achieve self-eating and create a good dining environment,which is good for healthy growth of children in a long-term positive impact.
