Traffic police,while maintaining traffic safety and traffic order,need to withstand multiple factors from extreme environments,vehicle exhaust,and noise.The overall comfort of the garment will accelerate the fatigue of the human body,and the cumulative effect will burden the human body's physiology and psychology.At present,there are few studies on the comfort and ergonomics of traffic police uniforms in China.Therefore,this paper mainly proposes the uniform improvement scheme from the clothing structure,and studies the influence of different sleeve patterns on the local heat transfer performance and the impact on the activity,so as to provide a basis for the improvement of uniforms.Based on literature review and previous research results of traffic police uniforms,this paper improves the structure of clothing,and completes the production of two improved clothing by using two kinds of fabric: non-bullet and elastic.By means of three-dimensional scanning experiment and thermal resistance test,the air layer and contact area under garment were quantified,and the local thermal resistance was calculated.The influence of garment structure on the distribution of local air layer and the local heat transfer performance was analyzed.In the evaluation of clothing activity efficiency,motion capture was used to measure the joint motion angle(ROM),and combined with subjective evaluation of local restraint,its activity performance was evaluated comprehensively.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Distribution of air under clothing is different under different upper limb movements.With the increase of movement range,the thickness of air layer under clothing decreases due to the aggravation of clothing involvement in upper limb and in the back of trunk.As the arm stretches forward,the garment pulls forward,and the thickness of the air layer under the garment on the front of the trunk increases.The clothes with improved structure increase the looseness of upper arm and shoulder and back movement,and the looseness increases with the increase of movement range.Therefore,the volume of air layer in RUAB(right upper arm back),LUAB(left upper arm back)and UB(upper back)segments increases gradually,the thickness of air layer increases,and the contact area decreases.(2)Garment style increases the thickness of the air layer under the garment by increasing the local looseness of movement,and improves the drag of the garment due to local structural changes,thus improving the accumulation of wrinkles and local compression.Therefore,the change of garment structure affects the local heat transfer performance of garment,and has significant influence on the thermal resistance values of RFF(right forearm),LFB(left forearm back),UC(upper chest),UB(upper back),ST(stomach)(Sig < 0.05).(3)According to the shoulder joint ROM measurement results,the activity flexibility of the three garments is ranked as G3>G2>G1,and the subjective restraint evaluation results are consistent with the objective experimental results,indicating that the structural improvement scheme enhances the ergonomics of the garments,and the ergonomics of garment activities considering the factors of structure and fabrics is the best.To sum up,this paper evaluates the activity ergonomics of traffic police uniforms by studying the effects of different clothing structures on local heat transfer,and provides a reference for the improvement of traffic police uniforms.From the perspective of clothing,it can reduce the workload of traffic policemen,and also provide some reference for the improvement of clothing of other people who work like traffic policemen.
