After the Opium War,the number and scale of foreign capital intruding into China has been increasing.In the economic relations between the United States and China,the oil industry is one of the most successful trades in China.Among the oil exporting companies in China,Mobil's development in different periods basically reflects the general trend of American oil exports to China.Therefore,the study of Standard Oil Company can illustrate the whole situation of American oil exports to China.Standard Oil Company is an important part of Sino-US economic and trade relations in the history of Sino-US relations.The study of this part is conducive to the analysis of early Sino-US relations.Based on a large number of American historical documents and Chinese original materials,and on the basis of previous research and research,this paper studies the historical evolution of Standard Oil Company in three stages: the period of oil export monopoly to China,the period of competitive advantage of big powers and the period of loss of advantage.Through the evolution of Standard Oil Company in China,it reveals the characteristics of the early U.S.economic expansion abroad,that is,compared with other countries such as Britain and France,the U.S.in China mainly promotes the formation of government portal opening policy through the expansion of enterprises themselves.At the same time,Mobil's trade experience in China reveals that enterprises can't succeed in the Chinese market without two key factors: positive and innovative marketing and strong financial foundation.The success of Mobil's sales in China has also accelerated the process of China's economic and social modernization to a certain extent.
