| Opportunities and challenges coexist in the global economic environment.Behind the sustained and rapid growth of a country’s economic strength, there are certain environmental costs. However, the problem of carbon leakage still exists and even gets more serious.Especially after the United States announced the withdrawal from the Paris Agreement, this environmental and ecological problem has become increasingly prominent and urgent to be solved. The international community began to adopt relevant trade policies to deal with the decision of the United States. The most effective measure is to implement the carbon tariff mechanism in the world to ensure that the carbon responsibility in the world. At the same time,in 2020,under the negative impact of the epidemic, the bilateral commodity trade between EU Member States and China has realized two-way growth. For the first time in recent years,China has surpassed the United States to become the largest trading partner of the EU.Therefore,it is of practical significance to study the calculation of the implied carbon and the gravity model of the influencing factors of Sino EU trade.Focusing on the theme of carbon tariff policy, this study selects the trade between China and the EU as one of its largest trading partners as the research object, explores the basic situation of China’s trade,China’s carbon emissions and the world’s carbon emissions policy, and clarifies the theoretical path of the impact of carbon emissions on trade,Through the empirical analysis of China EU trade implicit detection and influencing factors gravity model regression, this paper explores the impact of carbon tariff policy on China’s trade, and draws a preliminary conclusion:a country’s trade volume is positively correlated with its carbon emissions, and the carbon tariff mechanism will increase its trade cost and have a negative impact on the country’s economy. On the premise that the conclusion is valid,we can put forward the following suggestions:we should(1)optimize the structure of export products;(2)Changing the status of China’s international division of labor;(3)Strengthen international cooperation and communication to jointly solve the problem of international carbon emission reduction and carbon leakage;(4)Establish and improve China’s own carbon emissions trading system. |
