At present we are in a critical period of a new round of science and technology revolution and industry revolution form an intersection with China's accelerating the transformation of economic development.With the development of industrial economy in our society,a lot of new-type engineering and technical personnel meeting the needs of social industry development are needed.Although in recent years,the state has put in place a series of higher education policies to reform the deficiency of higher engineering education in China and has achieved certain results,there are still many problems and the quality of the cultivated engineering talents is not able to meet the needs of our social and economic development.In February2017,the Ministry of Education issued the "notice on the development of emerging engineering education research and Practice",which shows that China has raised the training of emerging engineering education talents to the level of national development strategy to pay attention to it.Therefore,it is necessary for us to give an in-depth study of it and reform it.This thesis is based on the background of the construction of emerging engineering education and considers polymer materials and engineering in minzu university as our research perspective,through collecting and analyzing the relevant information and data of the cultivation of engineering talents at home and abroad.We first summarize the characteristics of the cultivation modes of undergraduate engineering talents at abroad and home as well as its inspiration,then in relate to the current situation and challenges of our minzu university polymer materials Practical teaching of engineering talents,we analyze the existed problem of it and tentatively put forward some reform strategies and suggestions.The methods of questionnaire,literature analysis,comparative,analysis experience have been adopted by us in this thesis to analyze the problems and current situation of our minzu university polymer materials Practical teaching of engineering talents and through the analysis of the experience of universities at home and abroad.This paper provides reference and enlightenment to the construction of practical teaching system of polymer materials in our minzu universities.First of all,through the research status of engineering education at home and abroad,this paper analyzes the shortcomings of practical teaching of engineering education in minzu universities under the background of emerging engineeringeducation,and puts forward the research problem and defines the concept and essential characteristics of emerging engineering education,practical teaching and minzu university.Then it analyzes the present situation situation and problems of practical teaching of the engineering education in minzu universities and finds out the cause of the problem.Finally,it is concluded that the practical teaching of polymer materials in minzu universities should be reformed from the aspects of practice environment,teaching method and curriculum system to explore the system of practical teaching,in order to make up for the deficiency of practical teaching research of engineering education in minzu universities under the background of emerging engineering education.
