Environmental education originated in the 1950s and 1960s of last century, and it has experienced from infancy, rise, vigorous development to the present course of a series of major concern. Along with the theory of sustainable development is raised, objectives, content and methods of environmental education should be re-adjusted. Environmental education for sustainable development experiences the course of "concern for environmental issues - concern for environment education - concern for development issues (sustainable development) - concern for education for sustainable development - for sustainable development in environmental education".It has developed a research on two basic aspects of the theorization and implementation for the environmental education of non-environmental academicians. According to the theory of sustainable development, environmental science , educational science and reference with research findings on environmental education both at home and abroad, this paper discuss Curriculum Studies and Action Research of the environmental education. Curriculum Studies includes curriculum design, curriculum evaluation, the implementation of security research and case studies; Basing on the theory of recycling economy, Action research discuss the constructing of the recycling green universities. The main conclusions are shown as follows:During the design process, we determine five facts such as awareness, knowledge, attitudes, skills and participation to be the target of the curriculum of environmental education; by comparing and analysising two curriculum organization models (infusion model and single subject model), we choose a combination of both models; according to different teaching content, objects of teaching and the conditions of teaching methods, we establish different teaching methods; in the view of the environmental students of non-profession, environmental education curriculum includes three platforms: elective course, compulsory course and practical course; we set up five areas of basic knowledge such as environmental science knowledge and skills, the enhancement of environmental awareness, foster a correct environmental ethics and values, environmental laws and regulations knowledge and sustainable development, and compile teaching materials in the form of special topic.In the evaluation process, we make the evaluative method for the students of non-professional environment, use a combination of quantitative and qualitative assessment and analyse evaluative methods such as the written examination, the capacity to solve environmental problems, to participate in various environmental action and so on; we propose six measures such as the creation of specialized environmental education management organizations, improving awareness of the leadership in colleges to the importance of environmental education, strengthening the construction of environmental education's materials, improving teachers' level of the environmental education, strengthening the construct of the practical base of environmental education, establishing the fund of environmental education and so on.In the case studies process, take Nanjing Normal University for example, through the survey, we carry out a specific curriculum and make BOYA courses as a platform for environmental education.During the action research process, according to the recycling economy, we build the circular green university. Through the creation of courses, constructing the green campus in order to forming green educational atmosphere, developing various of extra-curricular activities in order to improving their environmental awareness and environmental skills, promoting green technology and so on, we build a evaluative system of the recycling-oriented Green Campus.The paper hopes to provide a useful reference for the environmental education of non-environmental academicians, and to make its own modest force for China's environmental education.
