The Inheritance And Innovation Of Embroidery Of The Ruyuan Yao Nationality

Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County in northern Guangdong is the home of Trans-Mountain Yao of the world,the capital of Yao embroidery in China.The embroidery of Ruyuan Yao has the characteristics of thick color,rich patterns,rigorous layout and unique styles,whose“reverse embroidery” is a unique technology that distinguishes Yao embroidery from other embroidery categories.The embroidery of Yao nationality involves everything in the universe,including human figure,animal,plant,instrument of production,graphs and symbol patterns,which shows the national history and living environment of the Yao nationality.In 2011,Yao embroidery was listed as the third batch of state-level intangible cultural heritage.Nevertheless,the recent development of embroidery in Yao nationality has not been booming,whose inheritance and development is facing difficulties.Through several in-depth investigation and interviews in the Yao area,a comprehensive collection of all kinds of Yao embroidery of related literature,the author expounds Ruyuan Yao embroidery history,patterns,process characteristics and cultural value,explores the heritage and innovation in the recent development process,analyzes the existing problems in the process,and then puts forward the corresponding countermeasures,hoping to promote the sustainable development of the Yao embroidery.There are five chapters in this thesis.The first chapter is to mainly discuss the research background,importance and research methods,as well as literature review and related theoretical basis,so as to illustrate the starting point and significance of this research.By combing the literature,the author masters the scientific research and development trends of academic circles and finds out the weakness of previous research,thus providing direction for the further study of this thesis.The second chapter mainly introduces the location of field study Ruyuan and its Yao embroidery history,patterns,artistic characteristics and cultural value.The third chapter is based on the survey data,the current inheritance and innovation of Ruyuan Yao embroidery is unfolded,and the existing problems and threatening factors are analyzed.The fourth chapter puts forward the corresponding countermeasures,basing on the existing development problems in inheritance and innovation of Ruyuan Yao embroidery.The fifth chapter is the concluding part,which is a comprehensive summary of the thesis.
