Research On The Inheritance And Development Of Chao Embroidery And Product Innovation Design

Yue embroidery is one of the four famous embroidery in China,and Chao embroidery is the representative of Yue embroidery.Chao embroidery has a long history of culture and art.It inherits the humanistic spirit of the fine work in Chaoshan area.Its production process is exquisite and complex.Its appearance is plump,resplendent and colorful.It is the only one of the four famous embroideries in China that uses the technology.On May 20,2006,Chao embroidery was selected as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage in China.However,as a traditional folk,Chao embroidery faces serious problems of inheritance and development like most other intangible cultural heritage.With the change of the times and people's living customs,the development of science and technology and the change of aesthetic taste,the traditional handicraft industry has been greatly impacted,and even close to be lost.To inherit and develop Chao embroidery,we need to stand in the background of the new era and think about it in a whole new way.Based on the field investigation,combined with the research results of Chaoshan culture and Chao embroidery,this paper starts from the historical background of Chaoshan culture,makes a comprehensive analysis of the development status and influence conditions of Chao embroidery history and culture in different periods and summarizes problems encountered in inheritance and development of Chao embroidery.At the same time,it makes a comprehensive and detailed analysis and record on the design and technology,materials and needlework,aesthetics and products,as well as personnel employment of Chao embroidery after visiting a number of Chao embroidery intangible cultural heritage centers,studios,product design and production enterprises and Chao embroidery masters,and summarizes how to inherit and innovate in the artistic expression of Chao embroidery.Based on the theoretical review of the traditional Chao embroidery application category,this paper puts forward that Chao embroidery products should be market-oriented,commercialized and life oriented,and should be based on the modern aesthetic taste and shorten the production cycle.Nearly 100 Chao embroidery products are developed and designed,which aims to broaden the scope of application of Chao embroidery products.In the meantime,based on the investigation of the current situation of the Chao embroidery industry market,combined with China's national conditions and local characteristics,this paper puts forward some suggestions on how to inherit and protect the Chao embroidery technology in the development of the modern market,explores the possibility of the inheritance and development of the Chao embroidery chain,and hopes to make a little contribution to the inheritance,development and protection of Chao embroidery.
