Study On The Innovation Application Of The Miao Nationality’s Embroidery Patterns In Western Hunan Based On The Contemporary Aesthetic Orientation

Nowadays,China’s economy is witnessing a rapid development,and the people’s material living standard has been marked improved,therefore more and more people are inclined to pursue more and higher in spiritual life with a higher aesthetical standard,and have placed a high value on public aesthetic culture.And aesthetical appreciation is a part of aesthetics,which are not only independent but also related with each other.Chinese fly its own colour with distinctive ancient aesthetics and aesthetics system.Currently,there are collisions and fusions of Western Aesthetics and Chinese aesthetics,there are some relationships and differences between Modern aesthetic and traditional aesthetics,and there are mutually influence among the natural aesthetics,formal aesthetics and analytical esthetics,which illustrates a diversified contemporary esthetic culture.Throughout the contemporary public aesthetic culture,there are diversified forms: some are very particular about Chinese tradition,some are keen on modern European and American style,and some prefer to Japan and South Korean fashion tide—all reflects a trend of diversification.The Miao Nationality’s Embroidery is an important part of traditional Chinese handicraft art,which has greatly enriched the traditional aesthetic culture by its particularly esthetic way.As is well known,without its own writing systems,Miao Nationality’s history and culture have been documented by poetry,wax-dyeing and tie-dyeing,embroidery and so forth.Among them,Miao Embroidery Patterns has been one of the main form to record and handled down national history,culture,religion,which embodies its aesthetic and functional value,and also reveals its beauties of nature and simple,and beauties on soul,form,and crafts.Miao nationality is scattered around the southwest of China.With change of dwelling and living environment,each branch and tribe of Miao People has its own characters and has differences between each other.So does the Miao tribes in Xiangxi.Affected by its special geographical position and other combination of factors,such as historical changes of each period,compare to Miao in other area,it owns significant differences in culture and arts,living customs and folk costume.Miao Nationality’s Embroidery has constantly conflicted and fused with Han embroidery in the course of development,thus the Miao nationality’s embroidery has been drawing characteristics from the Chinese embroidery culture and arts as well as Maintaining its unique esthetic culture,and showing distinctive cultural connotation.By literature consulting and field investigation related to Miao Village in Laer Mountain in Fenghuang County—a typical ethnic minorities living areas,this paper tries to tease out and analyze background,culture connotation,artistic features and aesthetic value of the Miao nationality’s embroidery patterns in Western Hunan.In the meantime,on the background of contemporary aesthetic culture,the paper will investigate and analyze contemporary populace’s aesthetic orientation,and illustrate aesthetic culture and aesthetic value of the Miao nationality’s embroidery patterns in this area.Based on the contemporary populace’s aesthetic orientation,it will further interpret some successfully business cases in which Miao nationality’s embroidery patterns have been applied,and the business cases designed by author—Brand Design Case of Jishou Silver World Jewelry Co.Ltd.in Xiangxi Prefecture;therefore probe into the way of its innovation application in contemporary design.And also inherit and develop the old national folk arts in Xiangxi in a different way.
