With the impact of human activities and the rapid development of economy and society,the increasing demand for water resources,coupled with water pollution and deterioration of water environment,makes the serious shortage of water resources more serious.Water shortage has become an important issue affecting the sustainable development of social economy.At the same time,the enhancement of social adaptability has also improved the situation of water shortage to a certain extent.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the sustainable development of regional water resources shortage and social adaptability for realizing the coordinated development of water resources and social economy in arid regions.Based on the theory of water shortage and sustainable development of social adaptability and coordinated development in Ningxia Economic Zone along the Yellow River,this paper analyzed the current situation of water shortage and social adaptability development in detail,focusing on the risk assessment of water shortage and the coupling and coordination between water shortage and social adaptability,focusing on the water shortage and social adaptability in Ningxia Economic Zone along the Yellow River.The coupling and coordination relationship of social adaptability is studied.The main research contents and achievements are as follows:1.On the basis of relevant research theories,an improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model of water resources shortage risk in Ningxia Economic Zone along the Yellow River is constructed.The evaluation index system and criteria of water resources shortage risk are selected from four aspects:water resources endowment,water resources utilization,socio-economic status and water environment,and the risk of water resources shortage in Ningxia Economic Zone along the Yellow River is evaluated.The risk grade of water resources shortage in different regions and the main influencing factors are obtained.2.From the point of view of social water cycle,the water system is divided into four links,and the social adaptability is divided into two aspects.A multi-index comprehensive calculation model is established to evaluate the changing trend of water shortage and social adaptability in Ningxia along the Yellow River Economic Zone from 2012 to 2016.The results show that the water resources shortage and the development of social adaptability in the economic zone along the Yellow River in Ningxia are on the rise as a whole,and the resources shortage and social adaptability in different regions have different development levels.3.Further establish the coupling coordination degree model of water resources shortage and social adaptability,and analyze the development and change law of coordination degree.The results show that the coordination degree of water resources shortage and social adaptability of the cities along the Yellow River Economic Zone in Ningxia is basically in two stages of good coupling and high quality coupling.4.Coupling coordination degree is basically in two stages:maladjustment recession and coupling coordination.According to the analysis of regional disparity change,the Gini coefficient of regional disparity change of coordination degree and coupling coordination degree of water resources shortage and social adaptability in four cities along the Yellow River Economic Zone in Ningxia decreases gradually,and the level of regional disparity inequality is gradually narrowing and developing in a better direction.
