Study On The Competitiveness Of Maize Industry In Heilongjiang Province

With the increasing planting area and output of maize in recent years,maize has become China’s largest food crop.The ensuing effect is that the maize processing capacity and circulation capacity are not in line with the output,and the expansion of the maize planting area has made the planting structure more and more unreasonable.As the first major agricultural province,the maize production reached 37.031 million tons in 2017,accounting for more than 61% of the province’s total grain output.In 2015,the Rural work Conference of the CPC Central Committee proposed to strengthen the supply-side structural reform of agriculture.In this context,the reduction of maize planting area has become the top priority in the adjustment of maize industrial structure.In this paper,the maize industry in Heilongjiang Province was taken as the main research object,and the evaluation index system of maize industr y competitiveness was constructed.The maize industry of seven major maize producing provinces,such as Heilongjiang Province,was taken as the research sample,based on the relevant data of maize industry from 2000 to 2017.Using entropy weight TOPSIS comprehensive evaluation method,the comprehensive competitiveness of maize industry in Heilongjiang Province was measured,and the present situation and development trend of maize industry competitiveness in Heilongjiang Province were analyzed.Using dynamic panel regression model,the main influencing factors of maize industry competitiveness in Heilongjiang Province were empirically tested.According to the results of empirical analysis,this paper puts forward some policy suggestions to improve the competitiveness of maize industry in Heilongjiang ProvinceThe main content of this paper is composed of three parts: the analysis of the present situation of maize industry in Heilongjiang Province;the calculation and evaluation of the competitiveness of maize industry in Heilongjiang Province;and the analysis of the influencing factors of the competitiveness of maize industry in Heilongjiang Province.Among them,the analysis part of the current situation of maize industry in Heilongjiang Province,using the c ombination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,systematically expounds the current situation of maize industry development in Heilongjiang Province,refining the existing problems and shortcomings at the present stage.In the part of measuring and evaluating the competitiveness of maize industry in Heilongjiang Province,through theoretical analysis and mathematical calculation,based on the evaluation index of industrial competitiveness of scholars,the evaluation index system of maize industrial competitiveness in Heilongjiang Province is constructed.In the part of influencing factors analysis of maize industry competitiveness in Heilongjiang Province,based on dynamic multiple panel regression model,this paper empirically analyzes the factor s that affect the development of maize industry competitiveness in Heilongjiang Province,and constructs the index system of influencing factors.At the same time,it provides policy suggestions for improving the competitiveness of maize industry in Heilongjiang Province.Through the above research work,the following main conclusions and opinions are obtained:(1)Insufficient investment in agricultural science and technology and insufficient stock of agricultural science and technology talents have seriously hindered the effective improvement of the competitiveness of the maize industry in Heilongjiang Province.(2)The low yield level of maize affects the corn production efficiency in Heilongjiang Province,which in turn affects the competitiveness of the maize industry in Heilongjiang Province.(3)The industrialization level and mechanization level of maize production have a positive impact on the competitiveness of maize industry in Heilongjiang Province,but the impact is not flexible.(4)The slow dev elopment of the maize processing industry and the weak processing ability of the deep processing are the most important factors affecting the competitiveness of the maize industry in Heilongjiang Province.(5)The rural financial system is imperfect,and the financial support for agriculture is insufficient,which hinders the healthy development of the maize industry in Heilongjiang Province.According to the research conclusions,this paper puts forward some policy suggestions to enhance the competitiveness of maize industry in Heilongjiang Province from the aspects of increasing investment in science and technology,improving the level of unit yield,improving the quality of mechanized production,strengthening the capacity of deep processing and perfectin g the rural financial system.
