Research On Evaluation Of Manufacturing Industry Competitiveness In Shandong Province Based On Spatial DSSM

Manufacturing is the material foundation and pillar industry of national economy and the foundation of a country's economic development.Shandong province has formed a manufacturing system which has strong foundation and has all kinds of manufacturing.Especially,the new and high technology industry and the equipment manufacturing industry are developing rapidly.However,with the change of momentum,comparative advantage and environment,some problems of manufacturing industry in Shandong province is highlighting.So researching the competitive level of manufacturing industry in Shandong province is meaningful to play Shandong province's location and industrial base advantages and enhance competitiveness of manufacturing industry in Shandong province.This paper first combed the research on industrial competitiveness and manufacturing competitiveness.And then,comprehensively discussed the theories of industry competitiveness and the model of shift-share analysis related methods.Second,analyzed the development course and the present situation of manufacturing industry in Shandong province.Third,using the data of manufacturing industry in Shandong province from 2009 to 2015 built the improved space DSSM model.Conclusions: 1.According to the national growth component analysis it is concluded that computer and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry's competitiveness is not strong;2.Most industries based on the spatial structure component analysis by the positive effect of surrounding provinces,is conducive to promoting manufacturing competitiveness of Shandong province,paper and paper products,oil processing and coking and nuclear fuel processing industry,three kinds of black metal smelting and rolling processing industry to a certain extent negative effect by the surrounding provinces,is not conducive to the competitiveness in the manufacturing industry in Shandong province;3.According to the competition for space component can draw,wine,beverage and food manufacturing refined tea manufacturing,textiles and other 15 manufacturing category space component positive competition,namely the industry competitiveness is stronger,its development level is higher than the adjacent four provinces of Henan,Hebei,Anhui,Jiangsu,and at the same time higher than most other areas of the country.Then according to the calculation results continued to map the Shift-share analysis,obtained categories of relatively weak and the strong industry competitiveness.According to the analysis results given targeted recommendations: namely the positive development of high and new technology industry to promote high-level industrial structure,formulate reasonable industrial policies to promote institutional innovation,strengthen independent innovation consciousness to improve science and technology innovation ability,improve the incentive system of the introduction of high-level personnel.
