Since the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in 1992,adaptation to climate change has become a hot topic in international governance. Before the Copenhagen climate conference in 2009,China was skeptical of the international climate cooperation mechanism and showed a conservative and passive attitude. With the development of international climate cooperation and change of China's economic and social,China have to face the increasing pressure due to the gas emission.China's climate foreign policy has begun to adjust gradually. Therefore China's climate diplomacy began a series of adjustments.Taking the Copenhagen climate conference in 2009 as an important turning point,China changed its passive and conservative attitude in the past and actively united with the United States,India and other countries to throw out motions. For that reason,The Copenhagen climate conference could avoid the fruitlessly ending.Since then,China's climate diplomacy has continued to take a more active stance and becomine more open and inclusive and more flexible and pragmatic in its diplomatic strategy.China have changed into the confident active participants from the sceptic of the international climate cooperation mechanism and was praised by the international community because of the series of performance in promoting the Paris Agreement to sign and implementate.Judging from external factors, the development of the international situation requires China must shoulder the responsibility commensurate with its own status. This not only brings about continuous increasing pressure of emission reduction, but also provides an advantageous opportunity for China's climate diplomacy adjustment.Judging from internal factors, the domestic extensive development model is difficult to sustain. It force China to adjust its development ideas, gradually move toward green development, and pay more attention to responding to climate change.Consequently, the adjustment of China's climate diplomacy is inevitable. At the same time,China is facing daunting challenges in terms of green development. As the dual-identity of the largest developing country and the largest emitter of greenhouse gases,China must further clarify its own positioning.China's climate diplomacy needs to be continuously improved to adapt to the post-Paris agreement era.International climate cooperation.
