Research On Sino-French Disputes And Cooperation On Climate Change Issues

With the increasingly complex global environmental politics background,the climate change issues become more and more important.Both China and France are actively working on the climate change issues not only in the respective domestic social and natural environment,but also in the relevant political and economical region.Further more,the two sides also show strong interests to conduct the international cooperation regarding to the climate change issues.No matter we start from the the feature of complementarity between the two sides,or from the strategic global power balance perspective,both China and France hold such a strong driving force for global climate governance.Definitely,the climate change issues do have become a new hot spot in bilateral Sino-French relationship and Sino-European relations with so many fruitful cooperation results.The bilateral and multi-lateral cooperation of clean energy development mechanism have been established between the two sides,including policy decision-making cooperation mechanism and cultural and personal exchanges mechanism.At an even higher level,Sino-European Clean Energy Center has been established.As the two sides' cooperation on climate change issues continues to move on,certain characteristics are emerging during the co-work process with some conflicts showing up.There is no doubt that France were the core member of the EU,therefore,my paper still compares the Sino-French cooperation with the Sino-European cooperation for the purpose of getting the more convincing conclusions by the comparison.Due to the lack of mutual trust between China and France and the obvious benefits competition,the two sides have many conflicts during the cooperation process,which mainly focus on the emission reduction technology transformation,the trade friction and the development rights.Therefore,on the one hand,in order to properly resolve the problems,deepen the mutual cooperation and achieve the mutual benefits,China and France must enhance mutual trust,develop multilateral cooperation and gradually improve relevant cooperation mechanisms.On the other hand,China and France should put aside the conflicts which could not be solved right now and both move on further.
