Luchongguan Forest Park,located in central Guizhou Province,With diversified habitats to provide good conditions for research,it is a typical karst mountainous region that develops on dolomite,from which some rocky desertification areas can be found.This research discussed environmental adaptability features and survival strategy in different habitats from karst dolomite rocky desertification areas in Guizhou,China by diversity of bryophytes,successional patterns and characteristics of gemmae.The results showed that the flora of bryophytes belongs to 13 families,31 genera and 96 species.Among them,there were 12 families,30 genera and 93 species of Musci;meanwhile there were merely Marchantia emarginata,Marchantia papillata and Marchantia polymorpha of Hepaticae.Pottiaceae were the dominant families of bryophytes.There were closely contact with species of community and diversity index.The wefts was live in conifer-broadleaf forest and the mats and wefts was live in man-made ditch.There were 122 bryophytes communities in the area.Among them,there were pure communities about 22.13%,Barbula were the dominant genera of bryophytes communities.By‘sampling method'and PCA ordination method in our fieldwork,The succession of constructive species followed the order of Marchantia papillata?B.ditrichoides?B.fallax,the direction of plant community succession remained stable but composing modes existed differences,the community pattern was formed that include majority dominant species and a small number of associated species.The results showed that there were 24 kinds of bryophytes had gemmae,which were the dominant genera of bryophytes are Pottiaceae and Bryaceae,accounting for 28.72%of the total.The quantity,the location,the forms,the color and the size of gemmae were multiple,Barbula rigidula can be up to a maximum of 2230 ind/strain,Bryum sauteri only for at least 8 ind/strain.The gemmae just located with rhizoid in dolomite bryophyte,There were Hepaticae which was gemmae in man-made ditch.As this,maximum density of gemmae reached2852.63 ind/m~2 in man-made ditch.lianas and boscage is a special habitat that has the highest percentage of bryophytes with gemmae,diversity index of bryophytes with gemmae,number of maximum range of gemmae and some bryophytes with gemmae in each habitats as Barbula ditrichoides and Trichostomum platyphyllum had maximum density of gemmae in lianas and boscage.Manifestly bryophytes were used to reproduce with gemmae in order to increase the population in lianas and boscage stage.In addition to,Anomobryum auratum had maximum density of gemmae in conifer-broadleaf forest contrast of dolomite bryophyte,but Bryum argenteum had maximum density of gemmae in dolomite bryophyte.Manifestly bryophytes can adapt to reproduction of gemmae by choose habitats.These research can provide reference data and information for control karst rock desertification by bryophytes ecology and reproductive ecology.
