From the middle period of 20th century,the appearance and development of metropolitan area has been an important urbanization trend all over the world.At present,metropolitan area has become the basic form of spatial structure organization about regional economic development in our country during the new period.In order to quichken the urbanization and start the economic re-development,Jiangsu province put forward the idea of constructing Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan area in 2003.This thesis researches into the spatial structure in Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan area,by the way of associating theoretical research with positivism analysis,vertical analysis and horizontal comparison,demonstrates the necessity and feasibility of optimization of the spatial structure in Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan area in detail,preliminarily studies the reality,problems and the developing aim,suggests how to optimize the spatial structure in Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan area,and provides urban development with some experience.In a conclusion,the optimization of the spatial structure in Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan area is very important to quicken the urbanization and the economic development,but that the three cities are divided administratively is an important and difficult part in optimizing of the spatial structure in Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan area.
