Metropolitan coordinating region refers to densely urbanized regions centered around one or several central cities that keep close social and economic contact with nearby towns.The cities and towns in a metropolitan coordinating region are adjacent to each other in geographical space,mutual cooperation in function showing region structure in form and have a trend of integration.In the existing literature on studying tourism competitiveness,most of scholars have laid more on countries and cities,but in recent years,some scholars have turn to studying suburb areas,which have important influence on regional development in the future.This article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter summarizes the research background and significance of this article,such as city circle at the present stage were reviewed the research progress of the tourism competitiveness of metropolis tourism,county tourism,and puts forward the paper to solve the key problems and the research technique route.Chapter tow as the research design,the study of regional competitive advantage theory,comparative advantage theory,on the basis of sustainable development theory and other related theory,using analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and establishing a three-level indicator system of suburb tourism competitiveness,this paper measures and analyses tourism competitiveness in the seven suburb area in Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan coordinating region in eastern coastal region of China.By measuring the differences of tourism competitiveness on secondary indicators,the study reveals the differences of tourism development among the suburb area,and recognizes the spatial disparity of tourism competitiveness in Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan coordinating region,and on the basis of which,tentative countermeasures for implanting and upgrading regional tourism competitiveness are put forward.Development situation,the third chapter analyzes the case to include city circle profile county city and tourism county tourism development as an important part of regional tourism economy development,the development to the promotion of regional competitiveness has an indelible role despite Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan coordinating region tourism resources enrichment culture characteristic,but there are also internal development imbalances,including level of unbalanced distribution of space and resources distribution uneven,so need to Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan coordinating region seven suburb area of tourism competitiveness for further discussion,in order to find various counties city tourism development gap and guide Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou metropolitan coordinating region tourism development in the future.The fourth chapter is the quantitative comparison study,which found Suzhou-WuxiChangzhou metropolitan coordinating region in the spatial distribution of the county tourism competitiveness present strong east and weak west attenuation characteristics from the main peripheral to the periphery,and then discusses the future Suzhou-WuxiChangzhou metropolitan coordinating region direction of the tourism competitiveness of ascension,and that one circle there is a need to establish both competition and cooperation between the county tourism development strategy,implementation of ascension in the cooperation of the communist party of China to win in the competition situation,through the scientific organization and management to form a reasonable tourism spatial structure,so as to promote the healthy development of Suzhou-WuxiChangzhou metropolitan coordinating region as a whole.The fifth chapter summarizes the research conclusions and main points of this paper,and points out the shortcomings of the research and the areas to be improved in the future.
