This thesis aims to explore the development status of employees'career adaptability in Chinese star grade hotels,and the relationships among organizational career management,career adaptability and career success.This research focuses on the mediating role of career adaptability(including four dimensions)between organizational career management and career success.Quantitative research was applied in the study.A total of 446 valid questionnaires were collected nationwide,and the proposed model was examined by structural equation modeling(SEM)using SPSS and AMOS software package.The findings indicate that:(1)organizational career management has positive effects on career adaptability;(2)organizational career management has positive effects on career success;(3)career adaptability has positive effects on career success;(4)career adaptability and its four dimensions,namely,concern,control,curiosity,confidence,also fully mediate the relationship between organizational career management and career success.Theoretically,the contribution of this study to the literature is as follows.First,the relationship among organizational career management,career adaptability and career success were investigated in this study,and this study may enrich the knowledge of career adaptability.Second,the empirical results confirmed that career adaptability plays an intermediary function in the relations between organizational career management and career success,which may enrich the correlation theories about career adaptability and provide a reference and a basis for the follow-up study.Third,the results of this study may provide useful data and guidance for further study.Practically,the findings of this study may help the organizations pay more attention to organizational career management and career adaptability,it will also be beneficial to improve the level of personalized management.Moreover,this study will help the hotels to set up and perfect the career adaptability mechanism,which could improve the quality of employees of hotels and help employees to achieve their career success.Furthermore,the results of this study may motivate hotel employees to enhance their career adaptability,ao as to achieve career success.
