Human resource is the important resources in the enterprise, which should be good use and exert its potential to make the enterprise more competitive in the competition in the future.In the face of the main problems in hotel industry,such as brain drain,frequent personnel changes, scholars are in thinking and seek a more suitable mode of human resource management, and career management is particularly important in this kind of management model.With hotel staff in Hunan province as an example, this paper investigates the hotel employees’ individual career management and organizational career management, and probes into the differences in demographic variables on individual career management and the correlation between individual career management and organizational career management, at last, put forward hotel career management countermeasures and suggestions on the basis of theoretical research and empirical results, from the viewpoints of both individuals and organizations.Conclusions are as following :(1) The overall average of hotel employees’ individual career management and organizational career management in Hunan province are 2.48 and 2.68 respectively, belong to medium level, and there is a big difference between them. Factors of individual career management like self-awareness and pay attention to the relationship score low, and the level of factors, the promotion fair, professional information provided and opportunity to learn in organizational career management remain need to be improved.(2) Factors as age, education, job title and office term have a significant effect on individual career management.(3) Organizational career management and individual career management staff are related significantly.Career exploration, self-awareness, and pay attention to the relationship are significantly related to four factors of organizational career management. Which means the more perfect of organizational career management system and the higher level of implementation, the stronger of ability of hotel employees’ self-awareness and the more opportunities to know about the organization, they have more professional exploration and communication with people to promote the further career development.But continue learning is only significantly related to the two factors as providing career information and learning opportunities.
