Enterprises raise increasingly higher demand for project management due to the economic globalization, fierce market competition and complex project environment. Multi-project schedule and control have been the hot issues at home and abroad in response to the complex multi-project management. In this thesis, critical chain technology is applied to manage the schedule and control of multiple projects. And the explorations of some necessary theories and practices are made to promote the use of critical chain theory and technology on multi-project management. This thesis reviews the current status of enterprise project management, and then based on the traditional project managements, a new method is put forward to manage the schedule and control system by integration of two methods, make to order(MTO) and critical chain. Some urged problems to be solved are presented after analyzing the project characteristics and product features of singleton product manufacturing, whose products are more varieties and small quantities. This thesis further summarizes the project management of critical chain, multi-project management and the difference between multi-project management and single project management, determining the priority of project and schedule control. Through such discussions, we propose the project schedule planning of single project and multiple projects, and give out multi-project scheduling plan and control steps based on critical chain under the MTO environment. Finally, the method brought out in this thesis is applied to the production planning and control process of a practical research in an enterprise. To work out the major problem occurring in the project management of the large transformer manufacturing enterprise, this thesis provide a well solution of multi-project planning and control based on the key chain.
