Critical Chain Method is a new method of project management, recent years itbecomes a hot research problem about project management domain. Critical chainproject scheduling method(CCPSM) could be as a further promotion ofresource-constrained project scheduling method(RSPSM). Recently, more and moreresearchers or enterprises pay attention to the application of critical chain projectscheduling. Although there has been many research results of Multiple Project CriticalChain Scheduling Problem(MPCCSP), it is not mature enough on the whole, since thereare not enough on the integrated optimization models and actual case studies.MPCCSP is that how to schedule the activities of two or more projects to achievethe setted optimal managerial objectives under precedences and resource constraints, byarranging the start and finish time properly. Multi-project critical chain scheduling isimplemented in many project, it not only need to think about the constraint conditions insingle project, but also need to coordinate in many projects. Hence, we need to study thewhole multi-project critical chain implementation framework which is workable. Thispaper studies on critical chain optimal operation model and implementation method, itcan help enterprises make the most of resources,cut down the project duration,providethe basis for realize enterprise-level multi-project critical chain project management,which has important theoretical significance and practical application meaning.First, we review the traditional project scheduling method,analyze the merits anddemerits based on the expounding on the traditional project scheduling method. Themain purpose of Critical Chain Method is to avoid the influences of uncertain and shortresource conflicts, ensure the project can be complete in the due time. Second, weanalyze the multiple project, study the characteristics and required resources of researchand development projects. According to the critical chain method(CCP), the paper identify the priorities of projects and set buffers. Last, we used the CCP to multipleprojects, build the planning model of MPCCSP. In order to verify the availability ofCCP, in chapter4, we analyze the MPCCSP through a example and verify that it is aexcellent method than others. By comparing with different priority rules, this paper,provided a approach of schedule multiple projects based on CCM, which can be referredin the future studies. Finally, we summarize the successful factors of MPCCSP and putforward the problems in the actual scheduling.
