Article 33 of China’s Constitution clearly stipulates: "The citizens of the People’s Republic of China are equal before the law." This provides the most basic legal basis for opposing regional prejudice and achieving geographical equality.The phenomenon of regional prejudice in our country has a long history.Especially in the new media environment,the convenience of the dissemination method and the increase of the dissemination channels make the regional prejudice in cyberspace express through various channels.It is inevitable that there are differences between regions,it is a normal phenomenon that there are close exchanges between social groups today,and some unpleasant or disputes are normal.However,it is absolutely impossible to deny a group of people with their own intrinsic impressions.Otherwise,the harm may be disastrous.This article is divided into three parts.First,regional prejudice has existed since ancient times.There are still prejudices in the new media environment induced by the first case of regional prejudice in China,and the seriousness is represented by the classification and presentation of regional biases in the new media;the causes of regional prejudice in new media can be attributed to the negative influence of historical and cultural factors and the characteristics of new media communications;through reasons to find countermeasures,many efforts are needed to deal with the phenomenon of regional bias.
