The Analysis And Control For Social And Cultural Root Of Media Bias

The article investigates a various influence in terms of political, economic and culture power on the media bias, starting from the media research point of view, and regarding media as the body of bias behavior, which is given a relatively comprehensive investigation of viewpoint. It investigates the source of media bias from the following aspects: it firstly looks back the history of media bias, points out the current trend, and then seeks the concept and formation process of media bias; the investigation priority shall be given to the influence of news production environment on the media bias. Next, starts with the comparability between culture misunderstanding and media bias; discusses influence of culture on the media bias. Then, investigates the economic benefits and society losses from media discrimination with the relationship between media bias and economic status, considers media bias will bring benefit for certain colonies or groups, but at the cost of society retrogression. Finally, by probing into the influence of society power relationship on bias from ideology property of media and political bias behavior, it makes a research in combination with report of the media bias in other countries made by western media elite. At last, it is the research on media bias's control, mainly discusses the possibility of media bias's control from the aspects of self-discipline and media manipulation.
