Surface plasmon resonance(SPRI is an optical phenomenon that the momentum of the light was coupled into the oscillations of the electrons on the surface of the metal film. The SPR sensor has so many advantages include high sensitivity, fast measurement, less consumption of sample and label-free detection of biological sample that the SPR sensing technique has been used for surface topography, analysis of biochemical and immune, drug screening and environmental monitoring. We design a liquid-prism SPR sensing system, and we verify the feasibility of the system with different liquid samples. The main works include:1.We design a liquid-prism SPR sensing system based on the Kretschmann configuration. We 'indicate theoretically and experimentally that using liquid-prism to replace the solid prism in the SPR sensing system is reliable. The liquid-prism and the liquid sample in the conventional configuration are replaced with the sample box as well as the liquid-prism,and we simplified the light path due to the mobility of the liquid.2.We design a photo detector to detect the photo information in angular interrogation system.First,we use a silicon photocell to detect the photo information.Second,an integrated operational amplifier is used to amplifying the photo information. Finally,we make the photo information that we collected transmit to the computer by Arduino UNO.3.We design a control procedure of the SPR sensing system. In order to control the revolving stage and achieve the data stored automatically,we programed a program of Lab VIEW software.4.The experiments are processed utilizing the liquid-prism SPR sensor. The experimental data of different liquids as the prism are obtained based on the angular interrogation and the angular&wavelength co-interrogations.Finally,we got the dispersion curve of different liquid by the liquid-prism SPR sensor.
