By generating multiple independent controllable beams and applying advanced digital signal processing techniques,digital beam forming(DBF)can significantly improve the overall performance of the system.Therefore,it has been widely used in radar,sonar,wireless communication,radio astronomy and many other fields.This paper mainly completes the design and FPGA implementation of digital signal processing system based on DBF multibeam radar.Firstly,the paper introduces the research background of DBF multibeam radar and the theory of signal processing algorithms.Secondly,according to the system index,the overall scheme of the system is given and the related parameters are designed;Then,this paper proposes the hardware and FPGA implementation scheme of signal processing subsystem,completes simulation and design of the FPGA scheme including data acquisition module,digital quadrature demodulation module,amplitude and phase calibration module,digital beam forming module,correlation algorithm module,moving target detection module and serial RapidIO interface communication module.Finally,the signal processing algorithm and SRIO interface module are debugged on the system hardware platform.By experimental verification,this system can form 12 real digital beam in the horizontal direction,form 6 real beam in the pitch direction and realize multi beam target detection in horizontal pitch two-dimensional airspace through the following related algorithm.
