The weak signal detection technique is a measuring technique which covers electronics, information theory, physics and other subjects. The main target is to extract target information from strong noise and the research focus is to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of the output signal detection system with new technology and new methods. In recent years, with the development of science and industrial technology, there are many excellent measuring instruments for weak signal detection. The keystone of this paper is to design an automatic system for weak signal detection, which is based on system integration technology, through GPIB bus and carried out on general computer platform.This paper has carried out the following work:(1)Based on the system integration technology, we used the virtual instrument software to design a spectrum analyses system for weak signal detection on universal computer platform.(2)We measured the harmonic parameters of the ideal square wave signal by conventional experimental methods and processed the data on the Matlab environment.(3)We measured the square wave signals submerged in noise background using this testing system, and compared with the ideal square wave parameters analysis to evaluating the performance of the system as a whole.The experiment results show that the designed system can complete the function of weak signal detection intelligently, which will reduce the degree of the artificial adjustment in a practical application,improve the accuracy of the measurements and improve the convenience of the operation process. The method of using the designed system for signal detection compared with the traditional experiment measurement method is more convenient and efficient, which embodies the automation and intellectualization of system integration technology. In addition, The overall performance of the system performance in ideal and it is more suitable for low frequency signal detection.
