According to the conception of Virtual Instrument, this thesis has developed the OSW Virtual Instrument System. PCL-818HG data acquisiting card and PC are used as hardware platform of the system; Visual C++6.0 is used as software platform of the system. During the software development, Windows message mechanism, multi-thread technique, multimedia clock, interpotion, virtual window technique and multi-page mechanism are introduced to improve the accuracy and properties of the system. This system has three functions of digital oscilloscope, wave output instrument and signal analysis instrument. The experiments have demonstrated the value of the system in the mechanical fault diagnosis.
