As the technology of virtual instrument becoming an important research subject in thefield of electronic measurement, and USB2.0 becoming a standard one in the technology ofthe computer's interface, and aiming at the shortages of traditional testing and analyzinginstruments, a scheme of virtual instrument based on USB2.0 is proposed. It mostly Carriesout functions of digital save oscillograph, frequency spectrum analyzing instrument, logicanalyzing instrument, voltage meter and signal creator.Firstly, after studying the technology of virtual instrument and USB2.0, and withregard to the function what the virtual instrument will be carried out, macro design schemeis confirmed. Secondly, USB2.0 interface chip CY7C68013A is researched, and firmwareand CPLD program are confirmed. Thirdly, the device driver of USB of this design andINF file are designed based on GPD of EZ-USB. Forthly, concerning the function and theperformance target what the virtual instrument will be carried out, user interface programand program of the communication between the user interface program and the devicedriver are designed. Finally, debugging of program and USB is carried out. The result ofdebugging indicates that every function is realized basically, and the communicationbetween computer and hardware comes true. The anticipated result is reached.
