In recent years,with the constant integration between radio frequency identification(RFID)technology and other fields' technologies and innovative application,RFID technology has run through all aspects of people's life,and has also been gradually used in hotel management.There are many difficulties in traditional hotel linen management system,linen inventory is time-consuming,inefficient and error-prone,washing times record is chaotic,washing handover procedure is complex and linen loss phenomenon is.serious,for instance.To solve these problems,a hand-held UHF RFID reader is designed,which can recognize linens species,quantity,location and washing times quickly and accurately.Additionally,the linen trace and track can also be implemented by uploading linen information to the cloud server through the wireless network.Firstly,the research background and meaning of the topic are introduced.The composition,principle,protocol standard,research status,existing problems and future development trend of RFID system has also been elaborated.And then the feasibility analysis and the overall plan design of hand-held UHF RFID reader system,which is adapted to hotel linen management,are operated after the application and theory research.The whole system is composed of the main control system module,which is based on CC3200 microprocessor with a built-in Wi-Fi,and the radio frequency module RRU9810M with the low power consumption and low cost.Furthermore,according to the system functional requirements,some peripheral circuits of CC3200 microprocessor are added,such as the human-computer interaction circuit,the debugging interface circuit,the storage and alarm circuit.Also,an APP client software and network communication program are designed based on the command communication protocol of the RF module after building the network operating system.In addition,in order to solve the problem of missing reading in the situation of dense distribution of tags,an improved tags anti-collision algorithm based on the carrier sense multiple access(CSMA)technology is introduced,in which the throughput and delay characteristics of the system are improved.The test result shows that the hand-held reader can achieve the desired goals of recognizing and tracing linens accurately and quickly.
