In recent years,The Museum,as the culture transmission public agency, is In a period of high-speed development. The tourism of museum is flourishing because of the museum belongs to elite class gradually turned to public class.In the context of increasing number of museum tourist,the operation of museum begins to change the museum management from waiting for the audience to attracting audience to visit it.The result of this change makes the museum operators pay more attention on the two questions. One is that how to value the status and feedback of the audiences. Another is that how to communicate the messages to the audience without problems. Second, with the rising of mass public culture,The activity of museum communication faces many new changes, which improved the museum focus on activity of museum communication. This paper from the view of the communication,analyzes the activity of museum communication in order to making the audience to understand the meaning of the museum.This paper, from the view of the communication, confirms that the function of museum is no longer limit to the collection, exhibition and education. With the rising of mass communication,the function of museum becomes so important that the status of audience is improved. In this context, the museum changes from cultural resources into cultural consumption. Second, with confirmation of museum function, the message of museum are delivered by the mass media which make more people know the museum. In conclusion,the museum has the properties of mass media. Third, by Lasswell's 5W theory, the paper analyes the communication,audience and media In activity of museum communication. The findings is, under the joint participation of governments and other civil society organzations, the builders and operator of the museum convey the message of museum to audience in order to improved the effectiveness of the museum communication. In the end,with example of Nanjing Olympic Museum,the paper analyes the effectiveness of the museum communication in order to offering the suggestion for the museum managment.The findings of paper show that, with development of the museum communication, the museum pay more attention on the function of communication.And it has the porpoties of mass media. Second,the builders of museum communication, under the joint of government and public agencies, throwing the mass media, convey the message and symbol to the audiences.The third,during the activity of museum communication. The message should be appear more interesting and situational so that buliding common space between museum communication and audience to relised the message of museum communications completion.
