A Trial Discussion On Financial Museum

With the rapid development of modern economy, more and more financial museums arise in the society. The academic circles haven't paid much attention to such financial museum. The systematic summary and research on financial museums are still in an initial stage. At present, there has no clear definition of financial museums in the field of international museology. This paper separates financial museum from museum family, makes research and analysis as a single kind of museum, carries out analysis and summary on the status and definition of financial museum as well as arising cultural background of financial museum within the theoretical framework of general museology. Meanwhile, the paper also investigates the development status of main financial museums at home and abroad, compares and analyzes the difference and similarity between Chinese and foreign financial museum through introduction to financial museums in USA, UK, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and other countries as well as some major financial museums in China. On this basis, the paper further expatiates the planning cause, exhibition contents and exhibition features of Shenyang Financial Museum, and discusses the advantage and realized breakthrough & innovation of Shenyang Financial Museum compared with other financial museums particularly from the aspect of exhibition features. Finally, the paper starts from the existing problem of Shenyang Financial Museum, preliminarily discusses the corresponding countermeasures compared with development trend of international financial museums, and makes preliminary discussion on future development direction of Shenyang Financial Museum.This paper is composed of six parts.PartⅠ: Introduction.
