Clinical Observation Of Cupping Combined With Acupuncture For Treatment Of Idiopathic Facial Paralysis

Purpose: To research of clinical effect of acupuncture combined with cupping therapy in the treatment of idiopathic facial palsy.Material and methods: Randomly divided the standard of 64 cases of idiopathic facial palsy that admissioned of affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture ward form December 2015 to December 2016 into treatment group(32 cases)and control group(32 cases).The two groups were treated with western medicine,the control group was received routine acupuncture,the treatment group was given cupping therapy combining with routine acupuncture therapy for the treatment of 7 days for a course of treatment,a total of 4 courses of treatment.Use House-Brackmann rating scale and Sunnybrook symptoms scores to evaluate the difference of curative effect between the two treatment methods.Results: 1.There was no difference in the two groups of gender,patients in age,course of disease before this study(p>0.05).2.7 days after treatment there was no statistical significance between the two groups in House-brackmann grade(p>0.05),but compared with pre-therapy the sunnybrook symptoms scores were improved significantly(P<0.05).3.14 days and 28 days after treatment,the cases of two groups of gauges had significantly difference(P<0.05).4.After the courses of treatment the total effective rate of the treatment group was 87.50%,the total effective rate of control group was 68.75%,the explicit efficiency of the treatment group was 81.25%,the explicit efficiency of the control group was 50.00%,the cure rate of the treatment group was 62.5%,the cure rate of the control group was 46.88%.There were statistically significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.Cupping combined with acupuncture in the treatment of idiopathic facial paralysis can improve facial nerve function.2.Cupping combined with acupuncture in the treatment of idiopathic facial paralysis can improve the function scores of dynamic,static and linkage.3.Cupping combined with acupuncture in the treatment of idiopathic facial paralysis have obvious effect on incomplete eyelid closure,angular deviation and symptoms of facial tension.
