Cupping Therapy For Treatment Of Peripheral Facial Paralysis Clinical Studies

Purpose: Observed the acute phase with the cupping therapy with acupuncture for treatment of peripheral facial paralysis in the clinical efficacy and describied the mechanism and operations of cupping therapy.Material and method: 61 cases of the disease within 7 days in the patients were selected with peripheral facial paralysis.They were randomized to Treatment group and control group.The treament of the two groups began to adopt with acupuncture and Chinese medine,Qianzhengsan,to observe the differences in efficacy.Results:Comparision between two groups'clinical curative effect,in the eighth day of the course of the disease and after finishing the treatment ,the total effective rate and the healing rate are statistically significant.The treating group was better than the control group.In each group ,the classification difference among the preliminary diagnosis is not statistically singnificant.But the preliminary diagnosis ,the eighth day of course of treatment and the end of course of treatment between each other were different.Between the two groups,the classificant difference among the preliminary diagnosis ,the eighth day of the treatment and the end of the course of treatment were statistically signification .In each group ,the classification difference among the preliminary diagnosis was not statistically signification ,the eighth day of the treatment and the end of the course of treatment were statistically signification .The time to heal between the groups were different. time of treating group was shorter than control group's.Conclusion:1.The acute peripheral facial paralysis could use the cupping therapy.2. The acute phase with cupping therapy for treatment of peripheral facial paralysis had significant clinical effect,the time to heal was shortened.3. After calculation, the flash cupping on the face and Yifeng point does not cause to the nerve stretch which would affect the blood supply and repair of the neural stem .
