Objective:The small sample randomized controlled clinical study compares two groups’ curative effect on bell’s facial paralysis during convalesce nce,the conventional acupuncture treatment and blood-letting&cupping the rapy combining with routine acupuncture therapy, in order to observe the clinical effect of blood-letting therapy&cupping therapy combining withro utine acupuncture therapy in treating convalescent stage of bell’s facia l paralysis. Method:Randomly divided the standard of 76 cases of bell’s facial paral ysis who were in convalescent stage as 1:1 into treatment group and contr ol group. The control group was received routine acupunture, the treatment group was given blood-letting&cupping therapy combining with routine acup uncture therapy. Scoring every patient on time, before treatment after 1 course of treatment(7days) and after 4 courses of treatment(28days) by HB grade and sunnybrook symptoms score scale. After 4 courses of treatment period, all scores were statistically analyzed by using spss19.0. Results:1.Baseline data:There was no difference in the two groups of pat ients in age, gender, disease side of the facial nerve, lesion segmenta nd if they had been treated before this study.(P>0.05).Before the experie ment, there was no difference between the House-brackmann(H-B) grade and sunnybrook symptoms score scale(P>0.05).The baseline of the two group wer e the same, the datas are comparable.2.After a course of treatment(7 days),there was no statistical s ignificance between the two groups in House-brackmann(H-B) grade, but com pared with pre-therapy the sunnybrook symptoms scores were improved signi ficantly(P<0.05).3.After 4 courses of treatment(28 days),the cases of two groups o f the House-brackmann(H-B)grade and sunnybrook symptoms scores had sign ificantly difference(P<0.01). Conclusion:To curing patients who were in convalescent stage of bell’s facial p aralysis both the treatment group and the control group had obvious effec ts.The short-term efficacy of the treatment group was better than the con trol group, which may improve the patient’s confidence, and enhance the treatment plan execution so as to promote rehabilitation indirectly.
