Research On HR Shared Services Center Module Improvement Plan

Building up the Human Resources Shared Services Center(HRSSC) module to centralize the HR routine job for more productivity, is the new professional HR services module using by many multinational companies, which to keep their key competition for the continually development in future. APC Company has set up the HRSSC module, but there are still problems with the module, like the unreasonable role assignment, and can not fully play all the roles of the HRSSC. Hence, the HRSSC module of APC Company need to have the improvement plan to be more efficient and release the HR resources for company strategy implementation support and Business Unit HR services request, then to meet the HR solution requirement.The dissertation studies the case of HRSSC improvement of APC Company by means of literature review, and case study. It firstly review the definition, roles of HRSSC and the related literatures. Then it introduces APC Company, introduces the problems HR management team and HRSSC encountered. The problems include that can't meet the requirements of company strategy and business unit, unreasonable job assignment of HR management team and HRSSC, and the low services quality. Then the reason and affective of the problems, and the necessity for the improvement on the HRSSC module. Finally, suggestions are put forward to solve those problems identified. These measures include the resetting the job assignment by referring to the Three Roles of the HRSSC Module, having standardize construction of HRSSC to increase the efficiency, further developing the HR management system to reduce workload and errors, analysis on HR outsource vendor selection to meeting the needs.The dissertation studies HRSSC module in large industrial gas company, which can also be used as reference for those company want to start HRSSC module or going to have the improvement plan of HRSSC module.
