Research On Project Cost Optimization Of Engineering Project In Z Company Based On Value Engineering

As a design, procurement, construction project, it reflects the growing advantage in duration, cost, and management and other aspects. But because of the petrochemical projects constitute is very complex, the level of management of most small and medium-sized engineering company can not meet the needs of EPC projects, resulting in the profit of projects is not ideal. Facing the the situation of construction market is increasingly competitive, in order to avoid being eliminated, the small and medium-sized engineering companies need to improve the management of cost..Purpose of cost optimization is not to cut costs, but in order to meet the requirements of the construction company, reduce unnecessary costs, increase the necessary cost, to make the total cost of the project contracting distribution more reasonable, to achieve a win-win situation with the general contractor and the construction company. This paper expounds the project cost structure?cost factors of every aspect and theory of value engineering. The author also studied the documents on EPC project and value engineering at home and broad in recent years, analized the problems of the Z company cost management in EPC projects, combined with the theory and the problems of Z company, put forward the cost optimization strategy of EPC project based on value engineering. This paper also shows the application of the feasibility study stage, the engineering stage, the selection of sub contractor construction scheme of the project. Through the application of the cost optimization strategy in A project, it can be proved that it can optimize the project cost and improve the value of the construction project. In practical applications,because of the engineering has a great influence on the cost of the project,the duration and quality, so it should be focused on the organization value engineering activities in the engineering stage. There are three difficulties in value engineering activity,functional analysis,scale of function index and function index.
