With the development of engineering project management science and multi-objective optimization technology, it was popular that applying multi-objective optimization technology for project management. However, the application of the current optimization technologies to project management requires so many backgrounds and resources including time that the practical needs can not be satisfactorily met. But Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is apt to be carried out and is easy to reach the best resolutions,so it is fit for applying for project optimization.So after carrying on a detailed review and introducing the basic relevant theory, this dissertation proposes a method applying the algorithm to better solve project multi-objective optimization problem. First, this dissertation introduces the invention, development and improvement of particle swarm optimization, and expatiate comprehensively basic algorithm and mixed algorithm. It mainly introduced the thesis of applying PSO algorithm for multi-objective optimization, and studied the parameter selection. And the thesis carried embedded study for multi-objective optimization of project, proposed general model of multi-objective optimization of project management based on the model of quality-schedule-cost optimization and the model of multi-resource equilibrium.In the last, the thesis applying PSO for multi-objective optimization of project based on an example, it enriched the study thesis of project optimization, and validated the validity and practicability that deal project multi-objective optimization with PSO.
