With fast fashion brands leading in the global apparel industry, like H&M, ZARA, the apparel retail industry competition is becoming more and more intense, and the speed of refreshing styles is becoming more and more fast. Accompanied by the rapid development of the global apparel industry, especially in those low labor cost countries, under the competitive environment of economic globalization, how to shorten the apparel product development leadtime to improve the competitiveness of enterprises and market adaptability is the reality that garment enterprises must face.This paper first introduce the theories of concurrent engineering, dynamic project product development organization, quick response supply chain, business process reengineering and theory of supplier selection and evaluation, then to analyze current development situation of V brand in K company, through deep analysis and summary,find out possible main reasons of long development leadtime, which include imperfect product development organization, low efficient product development process, unpleasant supplier selection and evaluation, changes from customers and the actual long lead time of products development etc. Finally by the screening and analysis to determine the real reasons are: imperfect product development organization, low efficient product development process and unpleasant supplier selection and evaluation, and put forward the corresponding suggestions for improvement on these three aspects.According to these problems, this paper extracts the solution to the problem of K company, and summarizes the whole process, the relevant views and suggestions which can provide reference for other apparel companies.
