| As one of 56 the first batch state level economic and technological development zones approved by the State Council, Harbin Economic and Technological Development Zone(hereinafter referred to as “HETDZ”) is the largest equipment manufacturing industrial cluster in Harbin and Heilongjiang Province and its Equipment Manufacturing Industry Park under construction is one of the Parks Heilongjiang puts emphasis on developing. As the basic industry of China’s economy, equipment manufacturing regarded as the leading industry with the longest history and the strongest on comprehensive strength is provided with development foundation and competitive advantages. Research on the competitiveness of the equipment manufacturing in HETDZ, has very important significance for speeding up the adjustment of industrial structure and growth mode, improving the industrial agglomeration degree and development level, and also better playing the leading role of economic development in the province and Harbin.This paper firstly analyses the current study situation of evaluation theory on international and domestic industrial competitiveness, then compares many theories to decide the research method.This paper study on the history and reality of this industry by collecting the historical evolution, the industrial scale and the main industry development direction, the industrial layout.Based on which both qualitative and quantitative analysis are performed by adopting Michael Potter Diamond Model Theory and Location Entropy on the equipment manufacturing competitiveness of HETDZ, finds out the competitive advantages and the weak links of the equipment manufacturing industry in HETDZ.Finally, considering about the weak link of the equipment manufacturing industry, in the aspect of enlarging industrial cluster, promoting self-innovative capability, building personnel team, creating policies and system environment,etc, addressing the solution promoting the equipment manufacturing competitiveness of HETDZ, making up policies for governmental administrativesectors of HETDZ, which will provide theoretical evidence for further boosting industrial development. |
