The Study Of Industrial Competitiveness Of Equipment Manufacturing In China

With the constant improvement of urban people’s consumption level,shopping abroad has become common in recent years,which actually reflects that Chinese manufacturing level of goods could not meet the quality requirement of consumers already.People tend to purse commodities that personalized,intelligent and humanized,instead of those standardized.In fact,the inferior quality of the commodity depends on the inferior manufacturing level,which is caused by the lack of competitiveness in equipment manufacturing industry.Therefore,in order to analyze and evaluate Chinese competitiveness in equipment manufacturing industry,this article firstly constructs an industrial competitiveness rating system,based on the Porter’s Diamond Model.After that,it uses the data from 186 quoted companies of equipment manufacturing industry to calculate and analyze industrial competitiveness in China under three aspects: production competitiveness,profitable competitiveness and innovative competitiveness.What’s more,with the help of principal component analysis,equipment manufacturing industrial competitiveness in China would be explained in five aspects: production,demand,supporting industry,enterprise structure and strategy.Furthermore,based on the Input-Output Model and data of WIOD database,the essay will calculate different kinds of industrial linkage coefficients in eight countries(regions),to study the industrial linkage effect and compare international competitiveness of equipment manufacturing industry in different countries(regions).Through these analysis,it can be founded the development of Chinese industrial competitiveness of equipment manufacturing industry is still d riven by investment.The impact from scale of operation for industrial competitiveness has been reduced.On the contrary,technological innovation contributes more influence to industrial competitiveness,although still in a low level now.With the comparison of developed countries(regions),equipment manufacturing industry in China still has some disadvantages,like high consumption per unit of production,lack of combining with the third industry especially service industry and lower industrial linkage of global market.Therefore,it is needed for Chinese equipment manufacturing industry to change from investment-driven to innovation-driven,optimize the industrial structure,reinforce the scientific research,accumulate the core technology,speed up the construction of local brand,increase the fusion of different industry and upgrade added value of commodities.
