Research On The Competitiveness Of Harbin Urban Tourism Based On Michael Porter Diamond Model

Urban is not only the source of modern tourism, but also the main source of tourists, reception and distribution center for tourists. With the development of tourism, the competition for the source of tourists between different urban becomes intense. The urban tourism competitiveness's raise and promotion need the instruction of theory. However, looked from the present research situation, research on urban tourism competitiveness is also at the developing phase regardless in overseas or in domestic, and its theory system is imperfect. In order to enrich this research area, this thesis in refers to the domestic and foreign related literature material in the foundation, with the aid of economic, management science and so on correlation theories, choosing the competitive advantage theory as the main theoretical analysis tool, has carried some analyses and the research to the Harbin urban tourism competitiveness according to Michael Porter diamond Model's six essential factors.Harbin is the old industrial base, which has made the historical contribution to recover the new China's economy and the independence, the complete industrial system in socialist modernization initial period. However, after reform and open policy, for various reasons, the status of Northeast old Industrial base, which has pivotal function to China national economy development for a long time, has dropped gradually. The urban tourism not can only bring the direct economic efficiency for the city, moreover is helpful to the urban economy structure optimization. The urban tourism competitiveness is an important part of the urban competitiveness. The Party 16 proposed a major decision to promote the Northeast old industrial base, and has given the policy support. Under this background, studying the competitiveness of Harbin urban tourism has certain guiding sense to the Harbin tourism's development, and is also helpful in promoting Harbin urban competitiveness.The research methods of this thesis mainly focus on literature analysis, comparative analysis, and so on.Conclusion of this thesis is Harbin should take some measure to make its resources comparison superiority become industrial superiority, for it is the state-level historical city and it has resources comparison superiority to develop tourism.This thesis can be divided into five parts.Part 1 is an introduction, which confesses the research background, the goal and the significance of this thesis. Part 2 analyzes the domestic and foreign literature about urban tourism and urban tourism competitiveness, in buys in the predecessor research results in the foundation, separately defines competitiveness, urban tourism and urban tourism competitiveness. Part 3 and Part 4 are significant parts of this thesis.According to Michael Porter diamond model, part 3 carries on the analysis to the Harbin urban tourism present situation from six aspects the element of production, the demand, the related supporting industry, the enterprise, the opportunity and the government.Part 4 gives concrete suggestions to promote the Harbin urban tourism competitiveness, mainly refer to making ice city summer capital tourism image, the conformity tourism element of production, Consummating the tourism product system, strengthening tourism service system construction, deepening tourism profession machine-made organizational reform, making great use of "latter great winter effect", displaying government leading role and so on.
