After the 1980 s, the Market-oriented structure of China?s financial industry gradually formed with the deepening of financial innovation, financial electronic, financial globalization and financial integration. A large number of foreign banks went into China. On one hand, it promoted the development of the financial industry in China. One the other hand, it intensified the competition among banks and became a threat to the monopoly of domestic commercial banks. Many banks have taken positive measures to reform, implement product and service innovation in order to occupy the leading position in the competition. And now, they have changed the perspective to the business process re-engineering of the bank. According to the analysis of the authorities, the innovation of products and service is no longer the main way to improve the competitiveness of the banks in today?s banking industry. Instead, process re-engineering, including the promotion of new products, customer experience and business process has become the decisive method. Since then, process management is considered to be one of the most important parts in the core competitiveness of commercial banks. And business process re-engineering has become the main method in enhancing the core competitiveness of commercial banks. Therefore, it is crucial to study the bank business process re-engineering, identify the key risk which could have an significant influence on the likelihood of success.In this thesis, the complex network theory is introduced to the business process re-engineering of commercial banks. First, we build the business process re-engineering risk database and make the reasonable analysis on the relationship between every two risk. Second, constructing a relationship network of re-engineering risk in commercial banks, with the key factors, namely the re-engineering risk for the node, and the direct impact between risk for the edge. On the basis of the network, we make a deep analysis and evaluation on it from three aspects. From macro aspect, the passage analyzes topology structure and existing characteristics of the network and finds that it has small world property and the scale-free property to a certain extent. From micro aspect, we analyze the statistical parameters of nodes, including degree and betweenness, then position the key risk which plays an important role in the network. From meso aspect, we select a certain risk influence chain as the object, use the theory of Bias and the conditional probability method to analyze non-weighted chain and the weighted chain which is achieved by the expert evaluation method. Then elaborate the methods in predicting the probability of the certain risk impact path in the risk impact chain and introduce the method in the identification of the key risk in the risk impact chain.On one hand, the research above helps us deepen the understanding of the complex network and broaden the field in complex network analysis. On the other hand, a new method is proposed to evaluate the local network. What?s more, it provides a clear direction and new perspective in risk analysis for the prevention and management of the process re-engineering risk in commercial banks. So that, it plays an important role in implementing the reconstruction project and achieving the re-engineering objective.
