Visual analysis based on knowledge mapping is a new science and technology in twenty-first century.It is a kind of research method in the field of scientific knowledge of metrology,and it is to convert the implied data in many literatures for specific,intuitive with the software of visual analysis and to unearth information hidden behind the data.Since visual analysis was put forward,it has been applied and developed in various fields.With the pace of reform and opening up,higher vocational education in China has changed from development of scale to development of quality.From disciplinary standard to ability standard,and under the guidance of the government,it will deepen the cooperation between the school and enterprise.In order to cultivate high tech innovative and applied talents,it not only optimizes the structure of higher education,but also promotes the process of industrial modernization in the new era.Under the dual background of national policies and socio-economic development,a large number of research achievements in higher vocational education have laid a theoretical foundation for the development of higher vocational education in China.In the field of the research on higher vocational education,the literature of the use of visual analysis software to its analysis is less,mostly qualitative research.Can not grasp the research development and hot topics in the field of the study on the whole.This study is based on the data of 3132 articles on the study of higher vocational education in China for 1998-2016 years in CSSCI.With visual analysis software of CiteSpace and the methods such as word frequency,clustering,co-citation analysis,draw the knowledge maps of main part,hot spots,the base of knowledge and research frons and grasp the present situation and progress of the research of higher vocational education in China as a whole.In this paper,the information visualization method is used to analyze the hotspots and frontiers of higher vocational education in China,which improves the objectivity of literature research.The number of literature related to the research of higher vocational education in China has been increasing in the past twenty years.In the subject of literature and periodical,the pedagogy discipline and the pedagogy class periodical accounts for the largest proportion.In the source of institutions,Zhejiang Financial College and Jinhua Polytechnic issued the most papers.In the author's aspect,14 highcited authors,represented by Jiang Dayuan,have a great influence on the study of higher vocational education in China.In the aspect of hot research,teaching reform,talent training,talent training mode,cooperation between school and enterprise and the combination of work and learning are the main topics that Chinese scholars pay attention to and discuss.In terms of references,this paper mainly studies and analyzes10 highly influential documents,and clarifies the theoretical basis of knowledge in the research of higher vocational education in the past twenty years.This paper makes visual map analysis of the research literature of higher vocational education in China.And analyse the change trend of hot spot and the direction in the research of higher vocational education.The study of higher vocational education in China has experienced a transition from scale development to quality development.It is also found some problems in the research of higher vocational education in China.The number of articles is small and the quality of articles is not hig;researchers are few and theoretical level is not enough;the regional distribution of higher vocational education research institutions in China is not balanced and the institutional cooperation is less;the policy system of higher vocational education is not perfect in China,and there are few specialized agency in higher vocational education.Based on the analysis of problems,some corresponding policies are put forward.
