The development and prosperity of information networks and e-commerce have brought a tremendous impact on physical bookstores. This has led to the collapse of physical bookstores and a great discussion on the survival of physical bookstores. In recent years, physical bookstores have gradually shown signs of recovery, which is inseparable from the active transformation of bookstores. With the prosperity of China's tourism industry, travel bookstores have gradually emerged and become popular with people, becoming one of the important forms of physical bookstore transformation. In view of the immature development of China's travel bookstores,it is still in the stage of exploration and development. Therefore, this article explores the development space and path of travel bookstores, and provides ideas for the development of such bookstores. This article first analyzes the development background of China's travel bookstore and combs its development context. Then it analyzes and summarizes the characteristics and existing problems of the current China's travel bookstores in combination with the operating characteristics of typical travel bookstores at home and abroad and actual research data.Subsequently, three development models were proposed-comprehensive and authoritative travel bookstores, local specialty travel bookstores, and marginalized travel bookstores. Finally, the development path of China's travel bookstores is discussed both internally and externally:on the internal path, strategies are proposed for deciding on management projects based on target audiences, paying attention to publicity, diversification, using VR technology, and shaping bookstore scenarios; On the external route,it is proposed to strive for government support and establish cooperation strategies with travel agencies and tourism-related industries.
