This paper takes calcium carbide furnace of a production enterprise in Luoyang as application background to design a long distance measurement and control system for electrode feed of calcium carbide furnace based on the electrode feed control system of calcium carbide furnace controlled by PLC,Using LabVIEW graphical programming software as the upper computer development software and combined with the web page publishing technology and browser access technology of the LabVIEW software.First of all,Three control schemes are designed for constant current control of electrode control system of calcium carbide furnace.Through the demonstration and selection of these three kinds of control schemes,we finally chose the control scheme which takes SIEMENS S7-200 SMART PLC as the control core to control the servo motor's operation using the Servo driver.Then the construction of the related hardware platform and the design of the program are completed according to this control scheme.Secondly,The electrode control system of calcium carbide furnace selects LabVIEW software as the upper computer development software and choose OPC communication based on Ethernet communication to achieve the communication between LabVIEW and PLC.Then,the LabVIEW program was successfully written through device configuration and variable binding.Finally,on the choice of remote monitoring and control scheme,two network structure models of B / S and C / S are compared,and B / S structure is adopted in the final design.At the same time,this design gives several methods to realize network communication about LabVIEW software.According to its own characteristics,the design chose the way of remote access to achieve network communication and use remote access mode and PeanutHull network penetration to achieve the remote observation of monitor screen in upper computer.
